In-house Cluster Physiotherapy Service

We are now able to offer a First Contact Physiotherapy (FCP) service where patients with musculoskeletal problems such as back or shoulder pain can be seen by a Chartered Physiotherapist, without needing to see a GP first.

During your consultation our a Physiotherapist will take a full history of your condition and perform a brief assessment in order to try and help diagnose the cause of your pain. Following this they will help advise on whether further treatment is required or whether the condition can be managed with appropriate exercise interventions or lifestyle changes. The appointments tend to be shorter than more traditional Physiotherapy treatment sessions and do not involve any treatments such as massage or manipulation. Instead, the focus is on early assessment, diagnosis and advice on managing your condition, referring on for further Physiotherapy treatment if this is felt to be needed.
