Child Health and Immunisation
The clinics are run by the Doctors, Practice Nurses and Health Visitors. You will be invited to attend the clinics in line with the scheduled vaccination programmes in place.
From 6th January 2015 clinics will be on Wednesday mornings from 10am. A Friday afternoon booster clinic will also run between 3.30pm and 4.30pm. The Health Visitor will be present at these clinics.
Minor Surgery - Wednesday 2-3pm
Minor operations and injections can be done in our treatment room at the practice. Please discuss this with your doctor who will then arrange for you to be given an appointment.
Led by our nursing team, this clinic offers advice and general health check-ups to patients diagnosed with COPD.
PCDAS Clinic—Thursday 12:30-4:30pm
Run by counselors and nurses, this clinic gives support and advise to patient with drug and alcohol problems.
Mental Health Counsellor
This clinic is run by the mental health team at the local hospital. Patients are offered appointments by the mental health team to be seen at the practice once they have been referred by a doctor.
Stop Smoking Wales
Stop Smoking Wales offers a support group at Pont Newydd Medical Centre on a Monday afternoon for patients who wish to stop smoking. Patients need to self-refer themselves to Stop Smoking Wales - 0800 085 2219 to arrange an appointment.
